The natural pine highlights the wood grain, and the finger-jointed panels demonstrate van Apeldoorn’s skill and attention to detail.

The material gives the piece a warm, inviting character, but above all, it is the compact size ( almost 120 cm ) that makes it feel particularly cozy and comfortable.

On the left, an open compartment (54.5 cm wide, 35 cm high, 44.5 cm deep) is balanced by four drawers on the right, providing practical storage while keeping a clean, simple look.

The design reflects mid-century functionalist ideas from both Dutch and Scandinavian traditions, similar to the work of Gerrit Rietveld, Ilmari Tapiovaara, and Cees Braakman.

In very good condition: all drawers work smoothly, the construction is strong, and the surface shows only minor signs of use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
