The model offered here, finished in rare Karelian curly birch, is a very early version, manufactured by O.Y. Huonekalu-ja Rakennustyötehdas A.B. in the 1930s/1940s.

The armchair has been repainted once (armrests black, seat shell red). The paint was professionally removed years ago, leaving only a few tiny traces of paint residue in the pores (see image 13 (armrests) or close-up of the seat shell in image 22). These are only visible upon very close inspection and do not detract from the overall appearance of the armchair in any way.

Over the years, the birch has developed a wonderful honey-colored patina. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
