It is gilded carved stone and expertly mounted on a steel rod and base. The sculpture sits on a wonderfully patinated bronze rain drum type pedestal. The pedestal itself can function separately as a garden seat. The sculpture is likely earlier but we feel comfortable with the early 20th century attribution. It likely originates from Thailand or Burma (Myanmar). A wonderful decorative as well as genuine antique sculpture The gilding of the head has some crazing, cracking and some minor losses. The base is nicely patinated and has an impression of the base of the sculpture on top from being there for so long. See less
