A beautiful and expressive 1980’s original oil on canvas painting by American artist Jerry F. Stone. The composition features a graceful ballerina captured mid-movement alongside a whimsical harlequin figure, creating a dreamlike and theatrical atmosphere. Soft pastel tones and fluid brushwork give the piece a gentle sense of motion and elegance, characteristic of Stone’s conceptual and impressionistic approach to figurative subjects.
The painting is signed by the artist in the lower corner and retains the original artist information sheet on the reverse, providing background on Jerry F. Stone’s artistic career and exhibition history. Presented in an elegant gilt wood frame that complements the warmth and classical feel of the artwork, making it a striking statement piece for living rooms, bedrooms, or art collections focused on figurative or performing arts themes.

My introduction to art and oil paint was at the Woodberry Forest School as a student of
R.C. Barr. In undergraduate and graduate schools, Washington & Lee University and Columbia Graduate School of Business, 1 attempted to include as much art in my curriculum as economics and business majors would allow.
Having finished a carreer in investment banking, I can now turn to something I truly enjoy, painting. I am a charter member of The American Impressionist Society, a member of the Vero Beach Art Club and the Grandfather Golf and Country Club Art Loft. The majority of my work is completely conceptual; even my plein air and still life compositions rely heavily on conceptual components for their completeness.. I annually participate in work shops in Vero Beach and Linville, NC. My paintings have been shown in juried and non juried shows in Vero Beach and in North Carolina. Purchasers and owners of my paintings are in Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. My paintings are shown in Finders Keepers Gallery, Tyncastle Corner, Banner Elk, North Carolina and the Martha Lincoln Gallery, Vero Beach, Florida,
