The vessel features finely rendered hand-painted figural and continuous landscape scenes depicting pavilions, scholars, and children at play among trees, rocks, and foliage. The composition is rendered in rich underglaze cobalt blue and framed by traditional decorative borders at the rim and foot.

This impressive vessel is fitted with a pair of sculptural Foo dog mask handles in high relief. The base bears a six-character Qianlong reign mark, applied in homage to Qing dynasty design traditions.

Measures 25 inches wide, including handles, and 20 inches high.
With its architectural scale and refined decoration, this piece was intended as a statement object and works beautifully as a floor jardinière, tree planter, or standalone decorative accent in a living space, entry hall, or conservatory.
