Rich Emerald Green Lacquer with Gold Designs Border each Panel on the front panels. The back of each panel is carved in gold with the character longevity in various forms of blossoming trees. The screen has hung in the central hall of a large wealthy patron's palatial Japanese residence in the past, as well as in the Grand Foyer of the Harkness Estate.
