Interesting glider style lounge chair, in the style of Brown Jordan circa 1970's. The base has a stationary bottom, attached to which is the upper section of the frame that swings back and forth on the attached supporting brackets. The chair is structurally sound and sturdy, and is fully functional, it does show considerable cosmetic wear to the finish, please see images.
