A cast brass figurative sculpture by Israeli artist Aharon Bezalel (1926-2012). This abstract work depicts a row of elongated figures with stylized forms. The figures are attached at their base and can be fanned out to be displayed in various configurations. Initialed in Hebrew to the lower edge of one figure, the sculpture is also marked with an artist's tag to the lower edge of the base.
Born in Harat, Afghanistan, Bezalel immigrated to Israel with his family at the age of twelve. In the early 1940s he began studying silver and goldsmithing and eventually expanded his studies into other forms of art making. He also began studies at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design where he studied sculpture under Zeev Ben Tzvi. During the 1970s, Bezalel was the chairman of the Jerusalem Artists' Association
