An antique 18th century Flemish Biblical tapestry, size 10'1 H x 8'3 W. This period European tapestry depicts a climactic moment from the Biblical account of the Purim story, with Queen Esther daring to approach the ruler of the vast Persian Empire, King Ahashverosh, without previously having been summoned. Her bravery in this act would lead to the events that would end up with the schemes of the villainous Haman being revealed, and Esther, Mordechai, and the rest of the Hebrews throughout the Persian Empire being saved from the decree of death.
A rare and exciting piece that tells a wonderful story. handwoven; composed of wool, with silk inlay. Condition is very good, but with some areas of reduction and prior restoration. A great choice for a home or a house of worship!

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
