Information: Le Petit Château, now disappeared, represented on this watercolor is the hermitage of Montmorency. He was made famous by JJ Rousseau who stayed there for several years and wrote there
In particular "La Nouvelle Héloïse". The castle will be reworked in the middle of the 19th century (as it appeared on this work of Maclet) and later became a rest house.

official proof of authenticity,
