Framed oil on canvas group portrait of a family signed S. Shimazu and dated 1955. The painting depicts the pater in full military regalia with his wife and two daughters. Plaster and wood frame. Based on the artist's surname and the period, it is likely that the painting was commissioned in occupied Japan. Nicely done.
