Vintage Antique Asian Storage/Blanket/ Hope Chest with Heavy Iron Latch
Offered is an excellent example of Asian influenced design; a heavy wood storage chest. Features a single drop down door on the front that provides access to a deep storage area.The chest is decorated with a heavy iron latch, side handles and Asian Iron designs. All the pieces and nails appear to be hand forged. We are guessing the piece to be late 1800's early 1900's. It looks Korean , but we are unsure of the exact origin. The piece is highly functional and will compliment any room or design project with a unique flare. It is in good original condition for its age , showing slight age wear due to age -see pictures). It is unsigned.
