I mean, REALLY, just how cool does it get? Check that patina! Every scrape and bump accompanied by a curse, a sigh of delight.
Yes, this lamp has been well employed…
I wouldn’t personally TOUCH the patina, but then you might have different ideas. You might even want to repaint it (although I suspect it would "clean up" nicely). Just beware that moment when a hundred years from now your relatives take it to the Vintage Road Show and are grimly told “Had your great-great grandfather not restored it…”
Meanwhile, it swivels or pivots at no less than SEVEN points. As shown it stands about 18 high, 13 wide, and the shade is 3 7/8 wide. The stand is about 2 7/8 by 1 ¾. I figure if fully extended it would reach about 37 inches.
The wiring, which works fine, is probably original. I suspect the plug is as well, as it’s an old BRYANT-marked plug, the kind you seldom see. A thing of beauty in and of itself, no?
Then there’s the switch! Maybe made of bakelite? Gorgeous and fully functional, you just flick it on or off.
You won't ever regret having this beauty!
