VINTAGE HOME is pleased to offer an Early 1900s Italian hand crafted open weave ceramic decorative tray. The tray is hand painted and has a Majolica finish. The ceramic pottery basket weave base is an eggshell white with a scalloped ribbon edge in a dark green. One corner has two purple pansies in Trompe l’Oeil style. The decorative piece is finished with two side twisted ceramic handles in dark green. This is a decorative tray and not suited for serving. It should be displayed on a table or showcased on a bookshelf hosted by an easel. The Italian design and craftsmanship are beautiful.

Only minor surface wear and imperfections consistent with the age, use and hand crafted characteristics. The Majolica finish is most prevalent on the pansies and les prominent on the ceramic basket weave. The contrast is quite pretty and adds to the hand crafted nature. less
