Mid-19th century French bookcase or display cabinet crafted from bleached oak and constructed in two sections for easier transport and installation. The upper section features four glass-paneled doors, ideal for displaying books or collections, with original adjustable interior shelving. The lower section has four paneled cabinet doors with slightly darker oak panels, also fitted with adjustable shelving for flexible storage. The oak has a soft, organic finish that feels warm and inviting. A small skeleton key is included for visual interest, though the doors operate using newer brass pulls that serve as discreet and effective interior latches. Minor stains, age-related cracks, nicks, and separation along both sides are consistent with oak of this period. The cabinet is over 7' wide and tall; it has been restored and is clean, strong, stable, and ready for use.
