Incredibly charming and rare vintage 1970s macrame of a lion head made of woven jute. The eyes are made of yellow wooden beads. This macrame is supported by a 14" diameter metal ring that forms the shape and head of the lion. This piece is very easy to hang as it only requires one small nail on your wall. This charming lion will look great any any wall and goes very well with any vintage decor with a boho or mid century theme. Rare find.
*Stated height is the overall height that includes the hanging cord on top of the head and the width was measured at the widest point near the bottom of the lion's mane.

To prevent this piece from further shedding the new owner should apply some hairspray or spray mount to its surface. I'm told this is the trick to keeping this kind of material from shredding due to old age. Please avoid shaking it as that will loosen up the fibers and cause additional shedding. less
