A stunning rare vintage First Edition full color and gold ink offset lithograph print of the letter L (from An Evangeliarium of the Church of Metz; the angel is the symbol of Saint Evangelist Matthew). Comes from a First Edition art folio of The Letters from Manuscripts of the 8-12 centuries. Printed in 1949 in France by Editions du Chene. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a board of heavy paper. Additional black and white print of the letter L from the folio is included. Excellent condition - never framed.
