The castle, the only building depicted, appears to sit on an island in front of a large mountain. The artwork is exceptionally well done, although I could not find a signature that matches an identifiable artist. I estimate the work dates back to the 1930s or 1940s.

The artist has signed the piece, but it is not dated. This is an original artwork that showcases beautiful colors. The painting is on masonite board and comes in its original frame. Photos do not do this painting justice, as the colors are especially lovely in natural light—something a camera simply cannot capture. It's such a soothing scene that you can almost hear the birds.
