A beautiful, very fine quality French patinated gilt-bronze mounted vitrine / display case table with elegant silk tufted interior, having … Read more A beautiful, very fine quality French patinated gilt-bronze mounted vitrine / display case table with elegant silk tufted interior, having a high quality solid wood frame, exquisitely finished in luxurious and sophisticated Louis XV taste, dating to the late 19th / early 20th century.

In the manner of iconic French ebanista Francois Linke, the rectangular antique table having a glass door top that lifts open to access the interior, glass panels on all sides with exception to the silk cushioned upholstered bottom. The solid wooden frame finished in parquetry-work with gilt-bronze ornamentation trim throughout, large mask medallions, and bronze mounted scalloped apron. The table rising on four slender cabriole legs with bronze mounted accents to the upper legs and ornate bronze decorated sabot feet.

Great condition overall, especially considering age of over one hundred years. Strong, sturdy and stable. Wear and tear consistent with age and use including minor imperfections such as small marks, light staining to silk tufted interior, and other possible imperfections that do not detract from the beauty, but only add to the antique character and rich charm. Beautiful patina over the whole. Presents splendidly.
