They were made during a time period when Georges Briard was working with Libbey, though I don't know if these are his personal design. I do know they bear the Libbey L. The gold design has a raised, sculpted design rather than the normal decal look of most gold of this era. There's 3 layers of gold for each leaf, background, middle and then a solid piece that creates the web or skeleton of the leaf. It goes back and forth with using matte and shiny gold, creating a sculpted, textured look and feel. Which is consistent with either Briard or a Culver designer being with the design team. The textured "watercolor" effect of the semi opaque pale green "spatters" is also consistent. If you haven't heard of Culver, or Georges Briard, look them up or look in my store. Look fast though, because they don't stay up long. The glasses are 3.25 x 3.25 x 3.25. There are a few tiny half pinhole dots in the gold trim at the lip, I can't get a camera to pick up the spots though.
Please note that these are handwash only, gold melts in the dishwasher. See less
