Shirley Kaneda is an accomplished abstract artist based in New York City. Kaneda graduated with a BFA from Parsons School of Design in 1976, and has had over 30 solo exhibitions and countless other group exhibitions containing her work all over the world. She is a visiting artist and teacher at higher education institutes across the United States, and has public collections in places such as the Princeton University Art Museum, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the David Winton Bell Gallery at Brown University, and the American University Museum at the Katzen Art Center.
