Pair of English Sheffield Plate chamber-stick or telescoping candle holders on 5.25" diameter turned scalloped wooden bases. Made from around 1880 to 1910 with the "SP" ornate trade stamp on the bottom, these wonderful candlesticks can be adjusted in many different ways depending on where they are placed. They look wonderful on a traditional table scape in their most extended candelabra position and can be made narrower to flank a piece of artwork or vase. The cubed joints have silver screws that loosen to slide the arms to the desired shape and height. Each candle holder takes two 1" candles (not included). A great set to add a bit of subdued elegance to a traditional, transitional or even a mountain home!
