A refined Danish silver-plate serving set by Axel Prip, featuring a spoon and matching two-tine fork with sculptural, organic handles. The design showcases Prip’s signature blend of Art Nouveau–influenced naturalism and early modern Danish restraint.
Produced by Axel Prip’s Skefabrik, founded in Copenhagen in 1924, the firm succeeded the historic Københavns Skefabrik (Copenhagen Spoon Factory). Axel Prip (1864–1925) was a key figure in Danish silver design, and his workshop remained active well into the mid-20th century. Notably, his grandson John Prip—later a celebrated Danish-American silversmith—apprenticed here from the age of 15, cementing the workshop’s legacy across generations.
Both pieces are stamped “A. Prip Plate Denmark"
