Jeanne Trimble Garrison (1928-2018) was a Florida native that graduated from the Ringling School of Art and earned a BA degree from the University of Georgia.
A self taught cloisonné enamellist, Garrison began her career as a graphic artist for a local advertising firm. She taught enameling, drawing, and painting for over 36 years at the Art Center of Manatee County , the Longboat Key Art Center, and the John C Campbell Folk School in North Carolina during the summers.
Garrison was a juried member of the Florida Watercolor Society and the recipient of many awards. Her drawing of the Tropic-Ana girl gracede the carton of Tropicana juice for many years was born October 3, 1928 in Bradenton to Robert and Polly Trimble. She graduated in 1946 from Manatee High School, attended FSU, she was a graduate of Ringling School of Art and earned a BA degree from University of GA. She married her childhood friend William Wilson, Jr. in 1951. Jeanne was a self-taught cloisonné enamellist. She began her art career as a graphic artist for a local advertising firm. She drew the Tropic-Ana girl that graced every carton of Tropicana juice for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Art Center Manatee where she taught enameling, teen drawing and painting classes. She taught enameling 36 years at The Longboat Key Art Center and many summers at The John C Campbell Folk School in NC. She became a juried member of the Florida Watercolor Society, winning several awards.
