The shade is made of opal glass and is coated in black on the outside. The black coating is perforated in a regular circular pattern, creating a pattern of white dots that softens the solid form of the shade. The lamp head, with its glass and brass dome, sits at the end of a flexible gooseneck, allowing for individual light direction. The lamp's distinctive feature is its base: a shallow, triangular dish that appears to float above the surface on small feet.

The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina.
