moreThis set of vintage peacock chairs are a beautiful example of vintage craftsmanship in steel. These are Mexican handicrafts often sold as Salterini Peacock chairs, they are of the same era and in the same genere. This set is the accumulation of years of buying one here one there until there were six including a side table and a rarer rocking chair version. Each of these pieces has been media blasted to bare metal than acid washed to ensure absolute cleanliness before being electrostatically charged for powder coating, after powder is applied they’re baked in a giant oven between 350*~450* F (184*~240* C) to melt and bond the powder to the metal. These are all done in “wet black” which emulates the original black lacquer finish while offering the much superior outdoor wear performance of powder coating.
Side table smoked glass has calcium rings from being used as a plant stand. 17” inches high 30” inches across (glass top 20” inches across) cup holders are 3-1/2” inches across and 4” inches deep. less
