A dish made in the 1950s by Alexandre Noll, a sculptor and wood engraver renowned for his direct carving technique.
Carved from a single block of linden wood, this dish has a rectangular shape with softened corners, gradually hollowed out by hand. The gently curved sides and subtly sloping base attest to meticulous craftsmanship, where utilitarian function is complemented by a clear formal exploration. The wood grain remains visible across the entire surface, enhanced by a soft patina acquired over time, reinforcing the tactile and sculptural dimension of the object.
