Here are a lovely antique pair of three-legged milking stools from the Black Forest region of Germany, which were used by farmers for milking sheep and cows. These highly decorative stools have beautifully handcrafted pine tops and ash splayed legs. Today, they serve really well as side tables. plant stands or extra chairs - and being three legged, they don’t wobble and are good and sturdy. They have been treated for wood worm at some point in their past. The effect to the wood actually adds to the rustic charm of the pine seats.
