Authentic early 20th-century American slag glass table lamp manufactured by
N.W. Art Shade Co., Chicago, circa 1915-1925. This lamp features an original octagonal slag glass shade composed of marbled cream and tan glass panels accented by a blue border, set within a finely cast metal frame.
The lamp rests on its original cast metal base, exhibiting classic Art Nouveau-influenced detailing and a warm, untouched antique patina. The base is clearly impressed "N.W. Art Shade Co. Chicago", confirming authenticity. The lamp is fitted with dual pull-chain sockets, consistent with lamps of this period.
All glass panels appear intact with no visible cracks or repairs. The shade and base are original to one another, which is an important and increasingly rare feature for lamps of this age. The metal shows minimal aging and interior oxidation consistent with a piece over 100 years old. Wiring appears to be an older replacement.
A well-preserved and highly decorative example of early American art glass lighting, suitable for collectors of Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, or period interior décor.
