Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, we added black painted support brackets and painted the center top edge of the base black. This is a fantastic vintage Scandinavian Modern dining table, desk, deep console or sofa table composed of a double Y or V shaped teak slab base bearing BEAUTIFUL wood grain & 4 black painted metal cylindrical standoffs or support brackets under a wonderful rectangular beveled 3/8-inch glass top. It is STUNNING in its simplicity!!! This table has a fun story to share… When we laid eyes on it, we knew we had to have it among the other treasures we have & list here to rehome to just the right household. We absolutely LOVE the spectacular shape of the teak base… and you can NEVER go wrong with a lovely beveled glass top BUT upon closer investigation we came to the realization that it was just too low for a comfortable dining experience and too high for a coffee table so… our oh-so-talented artisan staff took the reins and constructed a few custom adjustments, added the standoffs, and VOILA!! Piece de Resistance!!!!! (Sorry… I know that’s French and this is a Danish style piece but… It is quite the showpiece, so that term is fitting!!!) It seats 4 comfortably so it is perfect for a smaller dining area, kitchen, or breakfast nook unless you want to change out the glass for a larger piece… and then it could easily serve more guests. It would also be fabulous utilized as a desk in your study, as a deep sofa or console table in the living room, or even a nice size desk/vanity/bedside table in a guest bedroom. It will handsomely host your existing set of dining chairs unless of course, you need a set of “new/old stock vintage” dining chairs worthy of accompanying this masterpiece in which case… we have several listed here for sale that will do just that… check them out!! It exudes a straightforward aesthetic bearing clean lines, a minimalistic presence, and the exquisite contrast between the transparency of the glass top & warmth of the natural teak base exudes more of an open feel to whatever space it occupies.
