I am offering an original antique photo frame from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, made of cast metal (spelter/régule), originally gilded and patinated.
The frame has the form of a small easel – it can be both placed on a surface and hung (the upper hook has been preserved). It is richly decorated with floral ornamentation typical of early Art Nouveau: leaves, flowers, and soft, wavy lines.
It is a decorative object with a distinct period character, originally intended for displaying portrait photographs in bourgeois salons and studies.
