Circa 1990's cast resin and hand finished jewelry box by Oklahoma Casting Company.
This is a wonderful jewelry or trinket box in the form of a basket in the Black Forest style. The top has a handle in the form of a branch, arching over edelweiss flowers, which are sitting atop the basket. The basket has great detail and has florals and leaves on the base as well. The lid opens to reveal a storage compartment with a felt lined bottom.
Oklahoma Casting Company went to great lengths to reproduce Black Forest pieces of the highest quality in America. they are no longer in business, but their pieces are highly sought after for their design and quality.
