English Edwardian Marble Pedestal, circa 1900.
This is a beautiful marble pedestal in a rich dark green color. The marble has been expertly turned and the pedestal is in three pieces. The top turns to allow for admiration of the object placed on top from every angle. The top is supported on the central plinth, which is supported on a lovely base, with an octagonal base. The central plinth has turnings on the top and bottom, which adds depth and contrast tot he piece.
This pedestal came out of an estate from a well traveled collector. The quality is superb.
