This glazed clay bowl is designed in an oval shape with gentle fluting on the ends. The color is a warm yellow with brown speckles, titled Sunflower Yellow 201. It was made between 1958 and 1960.
Frankoma was founded by John Frank in 1933 located in Norman, Oklahoma and later moved the company to Sapulpa in 1938. John Frank was a professor of ceramics at the University of Oklahoma from 1927 to 1936. The name Frankoma was derived from "Frank" and the last three letters of "Oklahoma".
