An antique carved gold gilded wood frame with a hand painted tile of The Madonna della Seggiola after Raffaello Sanzio, called Raphael. Raphael is a High Italian Renaissance artist. Executed c. 1513–1514, and housed at the Palazzo Pitti Collection in Florence, Italy.
Frame is finely and delicately carved and gold gilded. Measures 12” high square. Tile diameter is 5 ½”. Great condition for its age. No damage, evidence of a small repair but difficult to see.
