Hamadan rugs can originate from any one of hundreds of villages across the vast region. While materials used can vary from one village to another, one uniting characteristic of this area is that virtually all Hamadan rugs are single-wefted, unlike most tribal rugs which are double-wefted. This particular Persian antique rug is in excellent condition and has superb quality wool that must be felt to be fully realized. As far as Hamadans go, this piece is outstanding.# See less
