A hot pink-cerise border composed of zigzag edges frames three of the four sides. In traditional Moroccan symbolism, the diamonds represent womanhood, femininity and conception while the zigzag lines symbolize masculinity, virility and protection. Male motifs often appear on the outer portions of the composition, framing and enclosing the female motifs.
