A vintage ceramic sculpture designed by Russel Wright (American, 1904–1976). The piece depicts the image of an abstract circus horse with a bronze/gold tone finish and silver details to the mane and hooves.
The Circus Series was inspired by Wright's work in theater design and these fantastical creatures grew out of papier-mache props.
The originals, made of out metal, were meant as a bookend.
