The Kano school screens depict a group of Daoist Chinese scholars, writers, and musicians from the third century CE. Ink and natural color pigments over a dramatic gold leaf square ground. Set in ebonized wood frames with a dark silk brocade border. Labeled on the back of one screen. Impressive pair of screens with vivid colors and beautiful gilt backgrounds made in the Kano school style. Lots more photos available upon request.
