A pair of drawers in the lower section feature carved leaves and a dragon's head as a fall-off device, supported by turned columns carved with festoons. The base features a pair of carved doors with a central shield and swirls of leaves and flowers, flanked by pilasters with caryatids. The top is carved with a central shell, leaves, and flowers, and the interior is oak. Italy, late 19th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
