Large mid-century modern Cocoon ceiling light by the German manufacturer Goldkant, designed by Friedel Wauer in the 1960s.
The light is mounted directly to the ceiling or wall. A teak disc with a screw connects the light fixture to the mounting bracket. Goldkant was known at the time for its various Cocoon lighting designs.
The light is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
