A touch of 1970's glamour from RODO, a great Italian brand that has been producing high quality handbags since the 1950's. The company was founded by Romualdo Dori and quickly became known for their woven wicker bags that often incorporated in-house produced metal hardware which often made quite a fashionable statement. In the 1970's, the company began producing metal bags that were quite a compliment to the disco fashions of the day. This wonderful evening bag features a unique brushed metal design with a hinged clip closure embellished with subtle crystals and a drop-in chain shoulder handle which easily converts the bag to a clutch, if desired. The gold leather interior features an open side pocket and it is stamped RODO and Italy. I love the fact that the bright gold tone is somewhat toned down by the brushed design so it says 'glam' without being garish...easily making it as fun for daytime too. Original flannel storage cover included.
Very good condition. The bag looks rarely, if ever, used. The flannel storage cover shows some signs of age, use and light soiling...it did it's job well!
The body of the handbag measures 7.25" wide at the top tapering to 6.5" at the base x 5" tall x 2.38" at the deepest. The convertible chain shoulder handle measures 44" from end to end providing for a 21" drop.
