Heger de Löwenfeld, 1969 Provenance: Gift from the artist, private collection, auction 63.5 x 46.5 cm Dedication: 16 x 10 cm The relationship between Georges Braque and Heger de Löwenfeld was above all a close artistic collaboration, based on a dialogue between painting and jewelry. from 1961 onwards, Heger de Löwenfeld, a diamond merchant and jewelry designer, proposed to Braque that he translate some of his gouache paintings into three-dimensional works. Braque accepted and actively participated in this unprecedented project, which consisted of giving volume to his pictorial forms through sculptural jewelry. official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
