This door is a celebration of imperfection. Reconstructed from fragments of antique architectural elements, it has been thoughtfully resized to a standard 36" x 80", bridging the gap between ancient history and modern utility. It is a "marriage" of materials—a visual dialogue where two distinct carving styles meet. You can clearly see the seam where a darker, sun-wheel carved plank blends into a lighter, geometric border, creating a one-of-a-kind "Architectural Collage.”
This piece does not hide its age. It features severe cracks, open joinery, and deep fissures that verify its authenticity. The relief work on this carved door is primitive and bold, featuring oversized Sun Wheels and repetitive geometric borders that have been softened by decades of exposure.
