The set is a fine example of Scandinavian modernism, combining balanced proportions, functional design, and warm natural materials.
The table is crafted from teak and stands on a sculptural central pedestal with four elegantly splayed legs. It was originally designed as an extendable table and still retains its original extension mechanism. The extension leaf is no longer present, and the table is therefore offered today as a fixed round dining table. This is common for this model and does not affect stability or visual appeal.
The Juliane chairs are characterized by their open backrests with a central vertical support, softly rounded forms, and tapered legs. The teak frames are well finished and reflect the craftsmanship associated with Johannes Andersen’s designs.
