A rosewood desk with bookcase by Svend AgeMAdsen for H.P. Hansen, Denmark. Circa 1960-70. This desk features beautifully and highly figured rosewood veneers, a curved profile, front edge raised gallery molding, a broad and wide work surface, adjustable height bookcase shelf (brass shelf pins), a small cabinet flanking the bookcase, eight drawers with recessed handles and an open "floating" leg construction. Good overall condition and structurally sound and sturdy design. The drawers work smoothly. There is some interior staining, wear and scratches to the drawers. Some minor cosmetic wear due to age and use. Two small narrow bruises to the desk top near the left edge (see photo).
The desk measures approximately 29" deep x 60" wide x 28.25" high. The opening measures 22" wide x 25" high at the arched apron to the floor.
