Approximately 40 years old -
Japanese cast iron (Nanbu Tekki) tea pot with a beautiful decoration, and an elegantly curved handle and decorative knob on lid.
Signed with embossed signature under spout.
Unique patterns or drawings characterize Nanbu Tekki from other cast iron. Traditionally artisans press Nanbu Tekki designs into the clay mold by hand. This pot has an Ivy and Vine Design on one side of the pot. The knob of the pot is similar to a design of an old house in Japan.
It may be utilized for boiling water or is beautiful on display.
Included is a stainless steel tea strainer if you desire to use it.
There is some normal wear commensurate with age and use, we did not attempt to remove the rust, we leave that up to you.
