This original oil on canvas; titled:
“Oh! Say Can You See?”
Completed in 1963 using decoupaged headlines from the New York Times overlaid on a painting capturing the artists rage, to emphasize the historic impact of Civil Rights events. This powerful piece measures 50” x 42” and is historically significant as well as timely.
Condition is good with no holes, tears, repairs or paint loss. There is an exhibition label on the rear from the Mystic Ct Art Association. Kenneth Forman was a known modernist artist with works in several museum collections. This comes direct from the Estate of the artist.
