Kneeling Female Nude with a German Shepherd, by artist Georg Richard Schnauder (German, 1886–1956).
It is a multi-material piece, combining the light tone of alabaster for the figure with a rich, dark brown patina on the bronze dog, all mounted on an oval marble base.
Georg Richard Schnauder was a German sculptor who was active in the early-to-mid 20th century. Some of his other notable works include "Allegory of Broadcasting" and "Diana with the Borzoi".
