These two porcelain figurines, depicting parrots, macaws, or cockatoos, are perched on separate branches, each holding a bunch of cherries.
Made in Germany in the early to mid-20th century, they bear the Carl Ens mark on the underside, likely dating them to the 1940's. The only flaw is a broken leaf in the mouth of one bird. They display exceptional underglaze porcelain painting from the peak of Germany’s prolific porcelain production era, and it’s rare to find a matching pair like this, even with the minor defect.
